500 Small Businesses Gather at Network Hack Meetup

Rob LynchUncategorized

On Monday, January 20th, I attended Pay it Forward for Business’ (PIFbiz) Networking Hacking. Six Networking Groups – the Santa Monica Chamber, New Tech Happy hour, the LAX chamber, the Swedish American chamber, Tech in Motion and PIFbiz – came together with a focus on paying it forward.

I met several interesting people, but three companies in particular jumped out at me:

  • OneBio: A personal branding tool that allows you to manage your online presence from one place. Almost like a cross between About.me and Hootsuite. Anytime you change the content, it automatically updates the information anywhere you share it. Pretty cool.
  • CV Runner: An online service trying to simplify the process for searching for and finding talent for both the company and the job seeker. Keep an eye on this company.
  • LC Productions: This company is looking to bring the 3D experience to runways and fashion shows.

I love talking with entrepreneurs and small businesses because there’s always something interesting going and they’re so passionate about sharing it.

What’s your next big idea?
